It all starts on Friday (3/4/11), with the Cow Town Pre-Party at Skate-Naked..  This year, we’re partnering with Ryan Moya to throw another one of his Night of the Living Shred contests!  A night filled with music from DJ Fischetti, classic skate videos projected on the wall, a Jam Contest in the bowl, and giveaways/prizes!  It’s $10 to open skate and compete in the Jam Contests this night.  Also, you can pre-register for the Cow Town Showdown for $20, which will allow you to skate for free this night.  The Battle of the Regions Semi-Finals will also be held this evening.  Everything kicks off at 6 PM.

The Cow Town Showdown will take place on Saturday and Sunday.  Things get started at 11 AM on both days, with registering for the contests.  $20 to compete for beginners through sponsored.  Beginner and Intermediate contests are held on Saturday, with warm ups for both, as well as a time allotted for open skate.  Winners will be announced between 5:30-6:00 PM.  Followed by a Demo from Blueprint Skateboards and guests.

Sunday will be the contests for Advanced and Sponsored.  Registration starts at 11 AM, and there will be warm ups for both events.  Winners again will be announced between 5:30-6:00 PM.  The day will end with another demo by a surprise team.

One day passes will be available for spectators for $15 ($10 in advance).  These passes are good for one day, all day at ALL Arnold Sports Festival events.  So if you feel like popping over to the expo and checking things out, this pass will work there as well.

UPDATE - 3/28/11

Making Friends with the 610 (859, and 330 too):  So immediately following the Cow Town....Tedd, Andy, Dan, Taylor, and Joey joined Paul Shier, Marty Murawski, Kevin Coakley, Jon Nguyen,  and Alex Pelletier for a week long trek across Ohio and Pennsylvania.  They all hopped in a van, and kicked it off in Columbus.  Ending up in Bethlehem, PA with our homies at Homebase Skateshop for a three day stint of shenanigans.

Dan was pretty stoked, coming off a 1st Place win in the Sponsored Division at the Cow Town!

This is an edit that Dan through together covering a lot of the trip,

as well as some other random carnage.  Lots of cameos in this one...as

well as some bad language.  Oops.  Stuff really gets going at the 4:00 mark.

This spot in Cincinnati was pretty gnarly.  Looked like something out of Chernobyl!  The guys loved skating it though, and we snagged some great footage there.

One of the many stops for food!

Joey ended up getting injured, and then really sick...so he had to bow out of the second leg of the trip.  So after hitting Old Skool, Embassy, and Skate-Naked in Columbus, then Galaxie and Ollie’s in Cincinnati....the guys headed to Evolution, and Megapolis in Akron/Canton, and then onto Homebase and the Bethlehem Skate Plaza to round out the trip.  Below you’ll see a short edit Alex Pelletier did for Blueprint of the trip.

Also, hop on over to Blueprint’s site to check out some photos and comments from Paul Shier!  http://www.blueprintskateboards.com/2011/03/on-the-road-again/

There was lots of fun to be had in Bethlehem!!  The 610 crew made sure we were kept busy.  Karaoke turned out to be a popular choice of entertainment while out there...with Marty leading the way!!  Here is a vid of all the American Idol hopefuls.  Kevin and Andy are clear stand outs in this clip.  If skateboarding doesn’t work out for them, at least they have something to fall back on!

It was an amazing trip!  And we’d liked to thank all the shops...Old Skool Embassy, Galaxie, Evolution, and Homebase...as well as the parks, Skate-Naked, Ollie’s, Megapolis, and the Bethlehem Skate Plaza...and of course all the people that came out, skated with us, showed us around, welcomed us with open arms, and just all around made this trip one for the books!  We can’t wait to do it again!

One more thing....head on over to Homebase’s blog to check out lots more photos, and comments from them about everything.  Some great stuff!  http://homebase610.com/we-made-friends-with-blueprint-megapost/
